Frequently Asked Questions
What
is transcription?
Conversion into written or typewritten format, copied from one
medium to another, as a typewritten version of dictation or exchange from
handwritten form to typewritten format.
Why
charge “by the line” on transcription projects?
So you pay only for what you get.
We do not charge by the page as some companies do, causing you to
sometimes have to pay more dependent upon how the company formats your project,
and we do not charge by the length of the dictation as you would possibly have
to pay extra for “air time” or the time during which there is no
dialog.
What
will affect my price?
Rush turnaround time versus standard, quality of dictation, and
type of project.
What
audio-type files can I use?
Digital, microcassette, standard cassette, CD, DVD, VHS, etc.
Can
you transcribe from my handwritten notes?
Yes! We are extremely
accustomed to transcribing from handwritten notes, as many people prefer to
sketch out their notes with us formatting their documents/projects.
